SHIATSU WITH CASSIE
Shiatsu is based on traditional Japanese massage therapy and is known to improve energy flow in the body. Through healing touch, acupressure points, movement, palpitating along energy channels (meridians), and an ongoing dialogue reflective of the five element framework, originating in TCM.
Techniques include touch, palpitating, pressing, stretching, tapping, mobilising, rotating joints and finger pressure. Most clients come for shiatsu to reduce stress and anxiety, and relieve physical tension and pain.
This is a creative, ancient, healing medicine system that can work energetically, psychologically, and physically to improve health and wellness.
By combining the theory and practice of this knowledge, a Shiatsu practitioner can work with intuition and wisdom to benefit all manner of ailments helping:
Regulate hormones and improve sleep.
Regulate the digestive system and help with respiratory conditions.
Soothes musculoskeletal disorders.
Supports adrenal fatigue.
Relieve physical tension and pain.
Reduces symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression.
Many people notice an improvement in their life, it can be subtle or powerful, and can create a sense of embodiment, increased self worth, contentment and stronger boundaries in relationships. People with addictions have expressed how Shiatsu has helped them move towards healthier life choices. By working with the physical, mental and emotional aspects and needs, it can encourage a wholesome lifestyle and a feeling of connection to ones centre.
Shiatsu takes place on a Futon on the floor, with blankets and cushions used to support the body. A client is fully clothed when receiving a Shiatsu treatment so its advisable to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing.
Each treatment is specifically tailored for each individual client.

With many years of experience studying and working with bodywork and creativity in education and community, Cassie has a strong authentic and somatic movement practice driven by an intuitive, holistic, and dynamic approach.
Cassie began studying Shiatsu because of her interest in the repressed emotions we hold onto in our bodies that can cause physical and mental pain and blockages in life. She works to soothe and release areas of the body that need attention so that the energy can flow freely again. She enjoys creating a healing space to receive and meet clients.
After having a successful practice in Bristol, she has since moved to Devon and is developing her practice in south-Devon.
Below are some reviews from previous clients:
“Having my first shiatsu treatment with Cassie was one of the best decisions I've ever made, she works so intuitively. I have experienced multiple problems with my neck muscles over the years (due to lifting weights and stress) and every time she helps me. I feel recharged and energised after every session. Cassie even managed to sort out my partner's bad back. I can't recommend her treatments highly enough”.
Sophie Mack, Student, Bristol.
“The sessions I have received have been excellent. I suffered from neck pains which have been resolved”.
I have also experienced an improvement in my emotions after her shiatsu treatment. I find her intuitive approach is very healing, really helping me heal and connect with deep emotions.
When I leave I feel energised and uplifted”.
Annie Watson, Receptionist, Bristol.
“Cassie is very knowledgeable about the body and so intuitive. I felt held, supported, stretched, relaxed and like I had gone to a very special place while Cassie treated me. I love the energy and wisdom that shines out of this wonderful woman. Can’t wait for my next treatment on Monday”.
Gemma Townsend, Mother, Bristol.
“Cassie's way of doing Shiatsu is a combination of pressure in some precise points but at the same time she is able to give you a total holistic relaxation.
I had my massage last Tuesday and I still feel the benefit”!
